Implementation & Control

To ensure the highest fidelity during pattern transfer, Nanofilm provides specialized guidelines for the handling, environmental control, and processing of our Chrome and Iron Oxide photoplates. Adhering to these standards maximizes yield and ensures the spectral integrity of the thin-film layers.

Material Specification

Nanofilm delivers photoplates featuring high-uniformity chromium and specialized positive photoresist. Our materials are engineered for compatibility across a diverse range of lithographic requirements:

  • Chromium Layers: Available in various thicknesses to match your specific optical density needs.
  • Positive Photoresist: Precision-coated to ensure consistent sensitivity and edge acuity.

Critical Handling & Environment Protocols

Protecting the integrity of the light-sensitive coating.

Successful processing begins with strict environmental management from the moment the material is removed from its UV-protected packaging.

  • Safelight Requirements: All handling and processing must be conducted exclusively under yellow or red safelight conditions. The photoresist chemistry is highly sensitive to blue and ultraviolet wavelengths; exposure to ambient light will compromise the coating integrity.
  • Thermal Stability: For reproducible results and consistent exposure times, maintain a stable processing environment at 70 °F (21 °C). Thermal fluctuations can lead to variations in resist sensitivity and development rates.
